Our Initiatives

The KCT Group Trust is responsible for managing the CSR initiatives of the VMTF Group of Companies, guiding efforts that are rooted in shared progress and responsible engagement.

The Trust's CSR initiatives focus on creating access to education, promoting environmental stewardshipand strengthening community resilience. Current initiatives are centred around women's empowerment through education, recognition of academic excellence, and conservation of fragile ecosystems. These focus areas represent the Trust's continued commitment to addressing critical social and environmental priorities through structured, purpose-driven programs.

KASHVI - Women Empowerment

Kashvi is the KCT Group Trust's flagship initiative focused on enabling women and young girls to continue their education and build pathways towards sustainable livelihoods. The program supports learners whose education journeys have been interrupted due to social, economic or personal circumstances.

Through academic learning, vocational training, livelihood opportunities and life-skills development, Kashvi works towards strengthening confidence, agency, and long-term independence among its learners.

IMTF RESEARCH AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS - Education

The KCT Group Trust supports the IMTF Research Awards and Scholarships at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to recognise academic excellence and encourage research-driven learning among students pursuing science and technical education.

The initiative seeks to motivate merit, foster innovation, and support students as they contribute to knowledge creation and professional advancement.

ARTIST SUPPORT INITIATIVE - Art and Culture

The KCT Group Trust supports various artists who exhibit at TRI Art & Culture, a not-for-profit multidisciplinary centre. The initiative provides a platform for artistic expression and encourages cultural dialogue.

GHARIAL CONSERVATION - Environmental Conservation & Sustainability

The KCT Group Trust supports conservation efforts dedicated to protecting the critically endangered gharial species and preserving sensitive river ecosystems.

Through collaboration with conservation partners, the initiative contributes to habitat protection, research, and awareness efforts that support biodiversity conservation and ecological balance.

WATER HEATER PROJECT– Environmental Conservation & Sustainability

The KCT Group Trust supported the Water Heater Project in Maharashtra, implemented by the Wildlife Conservation Trust, to promote sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions in forest-adjacent communities.

Through the installation of over 350 energy-efficient ‘Bumbbs', the initiative helped reduce dependence on traditional fuel sources while lowering carbon emissions and improving everyday living conditions for local households.

AIR POLLUTION AWARENESS - Environmental Conservation & Sustainability

The KCT Group Trust is supporting the Anti-Pollution Action Group (A-PAG) to advance awareness around air quality in Delhi and Patna.

The initiative encourages the adoption of electric cremation systems as cleaner alternatives in urban settings, promoting informed choice and contributing to reduced smoke emissions and improved public health outcomes.

OTHER INITIATIVES

The KCT Group Trust leads the CSR initiatives of the VMTF Group of Companies and, over the years, has undertaken programs across environmental sustainability, rural development, sports development, and the promotion of art and culture. These efforts have addressed evolving community and environmental needs through focused initiatives and partnerships.
